I want to change the world
Posted by Kyran Luhrs on November 7, 2009

I want to change the world.
Why? Well, for the betterment of human kind. I think we have great potential, we just need to realize it.
How? Though the power of thought. Ideas are what change this world. Thought is what improves on the old.
I am talking about the power of philosophy.
But I cannot do it alone.
I need help.
I need people who believe that the world can be changed.
I need people who believe that the power of one good idea can change history.
I need people who understand what it is to think, to discuss
I need people with great wisdom and understanding.
I need philosophers, scientists, preachers, teachers, and anyone who will listen and who will learn.
I want to change the world.
I need to change the world.
But I cannot do it alone.
Will you help me?

Interesting really. The idea of modern society and religion co-existing with a newly rejuvenated philosophical mindset would be really interesting from a social science perspective, although i think “philosophy” in the sense of what most people perceive it to be is hard to come by, or at least difficult to acknowledge. The majority of people have philosophies of many kinds but do not realize it and probably don’t even think of it as a philosophy. But i have always said much can be learned from the brilliant minds of the past, so good luck with this. Hopefully it will take off, and at the very least, you have potential to make some money. I think a book about modern philosophy would sell like hotcakes. Good Luck. Ill be following this site for sure.

Thank you for the support!
Well, I am not in it for the money, not at all.
But this is my passion, and comments like yours is all the payment I need.
My plan is to make philosophy profitable again, so that the philosophically inclined need not introduce themselves as “teachers” or “authors” and then philosophers.
But as I said, I cant do it alone.
Thanks again!

Before you start calling on the great thinkers of the web, you might want to spell check. In the meantime, I’m interested to see where you go with this. Good luck.
